Old mortar cut out to the right depth and repacked joint by joint, so the wall or chimney stops taking on water.
Mortar wears out long before the brick around it does. We cut out the old, failed mortar to a consistent depth, clean the joint, and repack it with fresh mortar mixed to match the colour of what's already there.
It's used on chimneys, walls and any brickwork where the joints have started to crumble or wash out. Done properly it stops water getting behind the brick face, which is usually what's causing the bigger, more expensive damage further down the line.
